The primary mission of any safety program is to provide timely response to save lives and reduce potential injury for adults and children who wander due to Autism, and other related conditions or disorders. We have suspended our Project Lifesaver program due to some systems issues that Autism Support of West Shore feel put our most at risk individuals in potential harms way.
Recently Autism Alliance of Michigan received a grant to provide GPS trackers to individuals with Autism who wander. They are issuing the Angel Sense GPS trackers to families throughout Michigan. Autism Support of West Shore has spoken directly to the researchers at Angel Sense and feel they are at the forefront of safety systems currently on the market.
